Pain Intelligence

Building the intelligence layer for chronic pain care

DavantAI is building a multimodal intelligence layer that learns how chronic pain evolves over time — turning fragmented signals into longitudinal, patient-specific insight.

The challenge

One of healthcare’s unresolved challenges

Chronic pain affects hundreds of millions of people worldwide, yet care still depends on episodic snapshots that cannot explain how pain changes from day to day.

The missing layer

What chronic pain care lacks is not just more attention. It lacks intelligence.

The system sees isolated moments. Pain lives in the time between them.
Today

Episodic and fragmented

Consultations are snapshots. Self-reporting is partial. The factors that drive pain variation remain largely invisible.
What is needed

Continuous and patient-specific

A model that integrates signals over time, learns each patient’s dynamics, and turns complexity into actionable understanding.
DavantAI is building that missing layer.
The foundation

A multimodal digital twin of pain

At the core of our technology is a patient-specific digital twin designed to learn the dynamics of pain over time.

Our model integrates multiple streams of information — including wearable signals, smartphone-based context, and patient-derived information captured actively or through interaction — into a richer, more continuous understanding of the patient’s pain journey.

The first applications

Two connected AI-Assistants. One intelligence layer.

The first applications of our pain digital twin are two connected AI-Assistants: one for patients, and one for clinicians. Together, they create a continuous loop of support, insight, and learning.
For patients

Support between consultations

A conversational companion that helps patients capture symptoms, experiences, and context — while providing continuity throughout the everyday pain journey.
Check-ins · context · reflection · support
For clinicians

A richer view before and between visits

A clinical interface that turns longitudinal signals into clearer patterns, helping clinicians understand change over time and prepare more informed conversations.
Patterns · summaries · evolution · insight
Connected-system advantage
Each assistant makes the other more useful.
Patient interaction enriches the digital twin. The twin supports clinical understanding. Clinical decisions and outcomes feed the next learning cycle.
The horizon

Our long-term vision

We see the digital twin and the first two AI-Assistants as the starting point—not the end point. As more patient journeys, interactions and multimodal signals feed the system, the underlying intelligence will keep improving. And this will pave the ground for the Pain Intelligence Platform and help lay the groundwork for the Foundation Model of Pain.
